Schleich Haflinger Stallion

The Haflinger, a mountain horse from the South Tyrolean Alps, gets its name from the mining village of Hafling (Avelengo in Italian, so it's also called Avelignese in Italy). Once, the only way to reach mountain villages was via narrow paths, and the surefooted Haflinger was the perfect companion for farmers. These horses never faltered on perilous paths and were used as draught horses to tow food and commodity - loaded wagons or sleds. Today, they're popular for sports and leisure. A fun fact: Haflingers crossed with Arab horses are known as Arabo - Haflingers.
